The MHs75 does not float but its waterproof rating states that it can last up to 30 minutes underwater at a depth of 1.5 meters and remain unaffected and operational.
Volume and squelch are controlled via the top mounted rotary knobs with 8 pushbuttons mounted on the front controlling the MHs75 other functionality.
The MHS75 covers all USA, International, and Canadian marine channels, keeping you on top of all the latest marine activity.
A great little radio with good quality audio the user is able to set the output power to 1, 2.5 or 5 watts for short and long range communication. This also provides a good way to reduce battery consumption as in many situations you will only need to use the 1 watt transmission power.
The MHS75 comes with NOAA weather channels pre programmed and the Emergency/Weather Alert allows it to function as a weather warning radio and will provide the user with national or local emergencies alerts.

This radio features a triple channel watch function, this monitors both channel 16 and 9 every 2 seconds whilst the user continues to monitor their preselected channel.

The Uniden MHS75′s has a large easy-to-read LCD display. Both the display and keypad are backlit and allow for easy to use, day or night. The display show the channel number, channel group and power level clearly.
Uniden MHS75 Battery
This radio charges extremely quickly in roughly 4 hours and lasts for an impressive 12 hours once fully charged. The battery power is displayed on the screen similar to a cell phone with a battery icon with 4 indicator blocks, an alert sound and display flash will give you plenty of warning when the battery is nearly dead leaving enough power to still send those final few messages.
